Clinxa / Clinxa-A Gel

Product Description

Composition:  Clindamycin Phosphate 1 % Adapalene 0.1 % Allantoin Base

Description: Clindamycin phosphate 1% and Adapalene 0.1% Gel is an antibiotic and retinoid combination gel product with two active ingredients. Clindamycin phosphate is a water-soluble ester of the semi-synthetic antibiotic produced by a 7(S)- Chloro-substitution of the 7(R)-hydroxyl group of the parent antibiotic Lincomycin.

Mechanism of Action:

Clindamycinbinds to the 50S ribosomal subunits of susceptible bacteria and prevents elongation of peptide chains by interfering with peplidyl transfer, thereby suppressing bacterial protein synthesis.

Adapaleneacts on retinoid receptors. Biochemical and pharmacological profile studies have demonstrated that Adapalene is a modulator of cellular differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes all of which represent important features in the pathology of acne vulgaris. Adapalene normalizes the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells resulting in decreased micro-comedone formation.
